As a member of the Sustainable Business Network, SfP strongly supports Council Bill Nos. 160132 and 160133 which together reduce the tax burden for new sustainable businesses and increase the Sustainable Business Credit.
The Texas Panhandle can be an unforgiving place to try to eke out an existence. More than one-third of all households living on the prairies and plains of Deaf Smith County, once known as the “Beef Capital of the World,” live in asset poverty which means that they do not have sufficient assets to get by at the poverty level for three months in the absence of income.
