The Center for Financial Security’s (CFS) new MyBudgetCoach Pilot Evaluation Final Report, authored by Michael Collins, Leah Gjertson and Collin O’Rourke, finds that coaching clients that used the MyBudgetCoach® (MyBC) platform significantly improved their overall financial health. The full report was released by CFS this month (June 2016).
For ten years, The Benefit Bank (TBB), a service of Solutions for Progress (SfP), has been helping individuals file their federal, and in select states, state individual income tax returns for free. TBB makes filing your income taxes easy with step-by-step guidance in both self-serve and counselor-assisted platforms. While visiting a TBB site to file their taxes, families can use TBB’s quick screening tool, QuickCheck, to check eligibility for various state and federal benefits and then apply for those benefits, all while using the same online platform.
November 5, 2015- Solutions for Progress today announced that the Virginia Financial Success Network (VSFN), through the Virginia Community College System (VCCS), will implement The Benefit Bank® (TBB™) and MyBudgetCoach® (MyBC) online services at a number of American Job Center (AJC) sites across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
With generous support from the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI), Solutions for Progress (SfP), in partnership with the Ohio Association of Foodbanks (OAFB), launched a pilot project in Spring of 2014 to demonstrate the effectiveness of MyBudgetCoach (MyBC) service, an online financial coaching service powered by SfP. Preliminary findings, validated by our third-party pilot project evaluator, demonstrate that the use of technology can successfully change financial behaviors.
Solutions for Progress (SfP) is proud to announce the release of a redesigned QuickCheck and Site Locator for The Benefit Bank® (TBB™). The redesign brings a clean and modern look and feel to TBB’s screener and locator, two of the most widely utilized parts of The Benefit Bank, and is part of a larger initiative to update the look and feel of the entire service over the next year. “This is the first step in a major upgrade to the look and feel of The Benefit Bank Online Service. In addition to looking better, it’s going to make the service easier to use for everyone,” said SfP’s Chief Technology Officer, Alec Wood.
